I would like to claim that I vividly remember my 8th birthday party. In reality, my recollections of that event are even vaguer than those few memories of my 21st which was celebrated in some considerable bogan style on the balcony of a cricket club in suburban Tawa.

Malthouse, a craft beer destination bar, will perform its now annual miraculous transformation to Ciderhouse from 24 November 2017 to 26 November 2017. This event is a joyous celebration of cider. Just as cider is available at Malty all year round, craft beer will be around during Ciderhouse but the focus will be firmly on the apple-based beverage for a few days.

I write about beer a lot. For one non-Malty related publication, my last three column topics were sour beers, barrel-aged beers and then fruit beers. It is fair in the extreme to say those beer styles are not my favourites. Not even close.
